johndendy.com... John is another local Helena musician...but in a far different league. He performs original stuff and he is an absolutely "must see" performer. His music is not easily categorized...it's cool, it's jazz, it's smart and above all, it must be heard live to be appreciated.
Riley's Irish Pub...Riley's has made a concerted effort to provide a place for live music in Downtown Helena. They've given me a shot and I'll always be grateful...and their Meatloaf sandwich is fantastic!
Miller's Crossing...If it weren't for Miller's, live music in Helena would have died long ago. The Miller family has provided Helena with a great saloon for generations.
The Staggering Ox...Great sandwiches and a great place to play. "Shades of Ox" is a smaller room located in the back with a great stage and some micro-brews on tap. Helena Blues Project every Wednesday and other locals most Friday nights 6:00-9:00.
Soul Tree Recording...This is a local recording studio and the owner, Dan Nichols, does the sound for a lot of downtown Helena events. He's got top notch equipment and an amazing ear. Whomever you're seeing...if Dan is doing the sound...you'll be hearing them at their best.
